  • Our Community Mission

    The Chefs utilize their community partnerships to feed the hungry and homeless, and provide disabled people and the youth with life lessons and cooking skills.

     

    The Chefs' goal is to establish a formal educational program that fosters aspiring chefs who live with an array of disabilities. They hope that through their organization, they will instill a sense of self-sufficiency and provide disabled chefs with coping mechanisms via cooking.

    Junior Chefs Program: Alexander Graham Bulldogs Matter

    April 2019

    The Chefs partnered with Alexander Graham Middle School in Charlotte, North Carolina, for a Junior Chefs Program event. The Chefs worked with the students to provide cooking and chef workflow lessons. Among other methods, The Chefs taught these young minds via cooking and sample platter demos.

    The event was a major success!

    University Soup Kitchen

    2017 - Present

    The Chefs have a strong relationship with University Soup Kitchen and its owner, Joshua Bridges. USK is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization that regularly serves the homeless population of Charlotte, North Carolina. The Chefs partner with University Soup Kitchen to prepare and serve meals to the hungry.

    University Soup Kitchen

    Charlotte, NC

     

    "We currently offer relief to the citizens of Charlotte via our "Agape Love" program, our USK Kids Club" and our "Soup Kitchen Sundays" Give Aways. Through our "Mobile Pantry" and our "Mobile Help Center" we are providing direct to families and individuals in need."

     

    "We deliver non perishable goods toiletries, and hygiene products to families, and checkpoints where there are large populations of homeless."

    "Autism Charlotte is unique among those that serve the autism community; we focus our efforts on creating inclusion-based programs to ensure the right and opportunity of children and young adults impacted by autism to achieve their most fulfilling, productive, and independent lives."

     

    "Our programs: Extended Learning & Development; PATHS (Preparing Adolescents to Transition from High School); University Autism Outreach Program; and iCan Bike Camp."
